Christmas Pictures

It came to my attention as I was getting ready to post this blog that I did not take very many Christmas pictures...As I was pondering why, I came upon the following conclusion which I have put into the form of " T'was the Night Before Chrsitmas" and Renamed "Tis the Morning of Christmas"...

Tis the morning of Christmas and from my view on the couch

Things were lookin good, like a bandit I made out.

The presents were sorted by name with much care
and I stacked mine up high, from here to there.

All of us were nestled in our own comfy spot
Drinking mama jan's coffee - not too cold, not too hot.

When the question was posed "well, who should start?"
I jumped at the chance - So the gift opening did start.

Throught the paper and ribbon I flew mighty fast
Tore open the box and exclaimed with a gasp...

I love it! I love it! Thank You a lot
And examined my gift with happy happy thought

I was having a great time and enjoying my own delight,
And then I saddened a bit when the opening of gifts moved on to my right.

But that was ok, I so quickly saw
As I watched the others open, with shock and with awe.

The cards were all perfect, and so were the things,
All new, birght and shiny, some even had wings.

We finished the giving, the opening and shouts of joy,
and watched as the puppy played with her new toy.

We ate cookies and watched movies and talked about our stuff
We took naps and drank coffee and played games till we had enough.

We had delicious dinner, prepared by mama jan,
The table was a smorgesbored, nothing you could get from a can.

We did some more playing, we all hung out together,
We watched another movie and talked about the snowy weather.

And in the midst of this fun, I got to thinking in my head,
Who was taking the pictures while I was playing instead.

So I grabbed up my camera and to my surprise,
Only 4 pictures were there to meet my eyes...

Not too bad, I thought for a minute
Until i realized that was all that was in it!

And so you see becuase of such a wonderful days flight
Christmas morning is pictured and re-told is Christmas Night.

We realized we left some people out...So our complete list of thank yous follows:
Thank You Dad and Kathy and Chris Car and Anna for the generous gift cards - we will probably be at the movies redeming them and at Target spoiling ourselves and Charlie!
Allie, thanks for the super cute scarf - I don't even have one this year and it has been freezing!
Dad and Carla - Thanks for a special Christmas Eve and for all the goodies!
Nani and Papa, we are obviously super excited about the mini recorder. It will be used frequently before and after the baby!
Mom and Randy, Whit and Phil, thanks for a very special Christms and Phils-Navidad!

To everyone we are not with today, we love you all and wish you a very merry Christmas and a fantastic new year.
Our cards were rushed to us via Fed Ex and still didn't make it to our house before the storm. Hopefully we will get them tomorrow or the next day.
Anyways, here is our "live" thanks from in front of the tree with Charlie!

She was up to her little belly in snow!
She would dive in with her whole face to sniff around!

Meet Charlie

This is our pup Charlie...We call her Chuck. She is a 1 yr old scottie dog and a little on the small side. She is hilarious! She loves to hide her toys (we are still looking for 1 very large raw hide bone and probably 10 toys), run up and down the stairs, chase cats, pretend to be a big dog, chew dads slippered feet, and fall asleep in the crook of mom's leg.

For your information

The picture on the front page of our blog was taken only hours after we eloped on June 4th, 2008. We were married at the marion county court house in the afternoon and spent the rest of our day doing things we love to do (walk around downtown, go to one of our favorite restaurants, be together, ya know - great things like that. It was a great day. We didn't spread the word right away - we enjoyed keeping it private and have gained a great appreciation for not blasting everything about our lives to the world. Privacy is sort of a lost art so to speak - even this blog is sort of weird for us - and both of us enjoy and prefer a more private life than you may previously recall. Anyways - enough of the psycho babble - back to us! About 2 months after we got married we saw double one night (stripes on a pregnancy test that is)! After a couple of doctors visits, we decided we should probably start leaking our love story...And here we are! So, welcome to a side of us a little less private and a lot awesome (in our own words).

Well...

We made a blog! Really for obvious reasons - If you have tried to contact us at all lately (or ever really) you know that we are often un-contactable. The answer to your question is YES, we sort of do it on purpose. We work a lot (which is fine) and we work very hard and when we are done working we really like to be together!!!!!! So in the interest of showing our friends and family that we do indeed care, we made you a blog! We hope you enjoy our pictures and our stories - we sure do!
